Because, frankly, monkeys are not all that cute.
Sometimes I only have 10 minutes to do anything. Sometimes it’s 5 minutes, sometimes it’s 12 minutes..but 10 minutes is probably the average amount of time I can spare to do some things before I have to zap back to reality and do real work. Today’s 10-Minute Google is on graphic novels. My library is full of them, which is awesome, but it seems like most of them are manga, which is not my first preference. A lot of them seem to have fantastical plots, though, and I’m always a fan of well-done art even if I am not too into the writing style of manga, so I’m giving these a try soon:
Onward Towards Our Noble Deaths by Shigeru Mizuki and translated by Jocelyne Allen
Oldboy by Garon Tsuchiya, Nobuaki Minegishi. Translated by Kumar Sivasubramian
The Best American Comics 2012 edited by AnneĀ Elizabeth Moore
Not that I’m not eyeballs deep in books right now, but when I get these, I’ll be sure to share thoughts.
